‘A Rabbit as King of the Ghosts: A Collection of Poetry by Wallace Stevens’
Original illustrations of the alphabet: photographs of flowers, potpourri, wax, and cut leaves arranged to form each letter of the alphabet. Letters (the first letter of each poem’s title) were then used to represent each of twenty-six poems by classic poet Wallace Stevens. The book is handmade and hand-bound, printed on archival French paper, with a brown & gold faux suede fabric hardcover.
Title spread.
‘J’ spread: “Anecdote of the Jar” (not technically the first letter of the title, but none of Stevens’ poems start with a J!)
‘O’ spread: “Of Modern Poetry”
